Caricature Painting: a weekend residential course with Mary Gulland
Friday 2nd - Sunday 4th May
Come to Thie dy Vea for the weekend and create an individual painting of yourself or someone dear to you in caricature form with the help and guidance of local artist Mary Gulland.
You’ll be provided with an art pack to keep and lots of input throughout the weekend to help you achieve your own masterpiece. Some drawing skills are required.
Mary Gulland has taught art in schools and classes for over 25 years. You may have seen her painting on the Isle of Man where she's know for her large silk paintings and vibrant acrylic work
Cost: ensuite twin room £280 single occupancy, £240 per person sharing.
Non-ensuite double room £240 single, £220 per person sharing.
Non-residential option: £140 per person including lunches and Friday dinner
Arrivals Friday from 2 p.m. The Retreat starts with Friday dinner and finishes Sunday approx. 4 p.m.
What’s included: 2 nights’ B&B at Thie dy Vea, 2-course dinner on Friday evening, lunches on Saturday and Sunday, refreshments throughout the weekend, art pack (worth £25) and tuition. Please note that Saturday evening’s dinner will be out in Peel and is not included in the cost of the weekend.
If you're travelling from off-island and need to stay an additional night, stay a third night with us for the special price of £40 ensuite, £30 non-ensuite.
Places can be secured with a £50 deposit, with the balance due by 22nd April.
